Effortlessly creating wonderful meals is an art but learning recipes is only part of the process. For cooking to become a pleasurable experience rather than a chore we have to learn how to weave it into the fast pace of our daily lives and one way we can do this is by learning how to use our appliances to their maximum benefit.

Kitchen appliances like many other products we use in our daily lives have benefited enormously from new and improved technologies. Once you have an understanding of the features of the appliances it becomes easier to translate them into day-to-day benefits and embrace a whole new stress free rewarding approach to cooking.

Culinary classes at the Purcell Murray Showrooms combine these two important facets of cooking, learning delicious seasonal recipes while using the latest in appliance technology. Instructors at the Purcell Murray Culinary Lifestyle Center include renowned chefs and industry professionals. Featured in the current schedule are:

Brisbane Showroom
    Jennifer Newens – Executive Editor of Williams Sonoma, Tools & Techniques, a bible of essential cooking tools and techniques. A graduate of the CIA, Hyde Park NY, for the past seven years Jennifer has conceived and developed a variety of branded cookbooks for Williams Sonoma. Jennifer’s curriculum, drawn from the Tools & Techniques book provides the home chef with essential instruction on cooking a wide variety of foods. Each class is devoted to a single food group and a variety of techniques for cooking that type of food. Copies of the Tools & Techniques cookbook will be available for purchase at the classes.

    Larissa Taboryski – Purcell Murray Culinary Director teaches the Dine & Learn and Kitchen Choreography Series, classes that are designed to help you learn how to maximize the use of your appliances.
Huntington Beach Showroom
    Cathy Dyla – Purcell Murray Staff Chef teaches the Dine & Learn Series and how to use the benefits of Convection to entertain with ease.

    Linda Steidel – This popular cooking teacher and cookbook author with a focus on Italian cuisine and updated American classics will teach you how to prepare truly delicious meals and to present them with elegance and flair.

    Jet Tilla – Learn how to incorporate the delicate and fiery flavors of Asian cuisine from this master of fast, flavorful cooking. Jet’s unique culinary background melds his Cordon Bleu education with his vast knowledge of Asian gastronomy to create a truly dazzling cuisine.
