This seasonal favorite is a great example of how to easily adapt recipes and cook them in the Steam Oven.  Traditionally Corned Beef is cooked with some liquid and spices in a heavy pan with a tight fitting lid (creating steam) for several hours.  In the Steam Oven we place the Corned Beef into a casserole dish add the water and spices and cook it uncovered in the Combination Convection Steam Mode at 300 degrees for 2  - 2 ½  hours or longer depending on the size.

The only way to fully realize the many positive attributes of cooking with steam is to plan to use your Steam Oven every time you cook.  Whether you are steaming some grains and vegetables or roasting some meat or fish and vegetables or even just "re-heating" some food, once you have formed the habit of cooking in your Steam Oven it will become second nature to use it daily. The good news is you don't need a special cookbook you can continue cooking all your favorite recipes just ask yourself first, can I cook this in my Steam Oven and be adventurous, try everything.
