Bosch’s brand of dishwashers is boasted as the quietest in the U.S. and an interactive dishwasher model on their new website shows us just what makes this statement true.
It’s what Bosch calls the Anatomy of Quiet, which is everything that’s gone into the creation of their dishwashers to keep them hushed.
Starting from the ground up, the dishwasher has a solid molded base with seamless construction and enhanced insulation to reduce vibrations. Any noise that is created is then absorbed within its walls.
Two-pump motors, instead of the industry’s average single large one, wash and drain. These motors have recently been enhanced to be brushless and virtually frictionless. The smaller parts and more contained motion dramatically reduces vibration and noise.
At the center of the machine is a soap cradle that slides open silently to allow detergent tabs to fall directly into a catch. This is unlike other washers that drop detergent directly onto their floor. The position of this cradle also allows sprayers to dissolve the detergent quietly and distribute it evenly throughout the dishwasher.
Spray arms are designed to spray toward your dishes, away from the dishwasher sides and door, for a quieter performance.
The finishing touch is the insulation. Three levels of sound-absorbing layers embrace the dishwasher to reduce operating volume. These are made up of a cotton blanket (made of recycled jeans), Bitumen (a tar-like material) and a stylish outer layer of stainless steel.
